About us:

Kaurs Club started with a mission to fill a gap.

Growing up Ramnik was always told that she did not belong in the adventure community. Women that looked like her were not on national geographic, they didn’t camp or climb, and they certainly did not commit to the extremes of the outdoors. As she grew older she realised this had nothing to do with her faith, but instead it was society that had created these norms. She was ready for a change. She wanted not only more Kaurs (Sikh women) out on trails and connecting with nature but all women (especially minorities). Taking up space and sharing her adventures online allowed her to realise that this gap could be filled through opportunity, community, and an invitation.

And that’s Kaurs Clubs origin story.

Kaurs Club hosts events to create a welcoming safe space, where Kaurs can foster connection through Sikhi, the outdoors, and sisterhood. The outdoors are our purpose. Our events are designed to break traditional barriers in the adventure space.

In an effort to amplify representation and promote inclusivity, we organize some of our outdoor events to be open to all women, with a special focus on empowering Black, Indigenous, and women of color to explore and connect through nature.

Our mission is only possible with community support, that means you. If you are new here, we hope you will take the courageous first steps to joining us on our next adventure. If you are an experienced Kaur who wants to lead events and trips, we invite you to connect with us.

We look forward to meeting you out there in the wild, Gurparsadh (with the Creators grace).
